Be The Boss

Holiday Excitement

It’s Tuesday, November 24, 2009, as I realize the apprehensive aura swirling around me is because Thanksgiving is less than 40 hours away and I have not been to the grocery store yet! Aaaack! What the mess???? I’ve got to snap out of this!

Being The Boss

I may be “The Boss” but I am also second.

What’s Up for 2009?!

Rebuilding and a lot of opportunities!!

January Ice Storms

According to WFAA Ch 8, it’s 27° and the Wind Chill is 16°.   That explains why my toes are numb.  I’m really beginning to appreciate the Texas Heat Waves…it sure would be nice for one of those “waves” to show up right about now.  I can hear sleet tapping at my window and the sound of heavy breathing, snoring if you will, from my 12 year old golden retriever.  She’s not bothered by this weather.  As a matter of fact when we walk outside together she shakes her body and then gives me this “look” over her right shoulder as if to say, “You call this cold, old woman”?  I know deep down inside she’s really trying to encourage me to stay out as long as possible because a new blade of grass may have sprang up since we we’re out here a couple of hours ago and she needs to snif it.  That’s my Sandy.  Protector of Peace, personal bodyguard, my best friend, and fuzzy toe warmer when necessary.  Thank goodness I can slide my frozen toes under her 95 lb frame and she never even knows I’m there.  Aaah.  Warmth.
